So, how do I fix my work mindset?

Let’s talk about work.

If you are in a struggling mindset about your work, or even your current life there are always things that can be addressed. These things can help you, and very possibly fix you as well.

But with this post, I am just addressing the work environment.

In my early years it was such a natural thing to make changes, when I got restless.

Being a younger person, and a good employee, I often felt that I could do better.

My first real job lasted 10 years. I started off at a very low position, and on my exit, I was not only a valued employee, but a well known in my industry. I like learning, accomplishing things, and taking on responsibility. In an employers mind, those are some of the best employee traits to have.

When I felt like I wasn’t being appreciated, and limited in my growth potential, I looked for other opportunities.

Looking back I wouldn’t have done it differently.

A few things to think about if you are struggling in you job.

Can you create another mindset? A more positive one?

Return to the day you were hired, or to the first day that you realized, or someone else realized you perform your current job well. Remember what that felt like.

Create an Instruction Manual on how to do your job. Create it as you were the best one in the world that is doing it. As you are creating that Instruction Manual, include areas that can be improved as well. Enter them in that Instruction Manual as something that you currently do.

I realize if your job is very active every day, this may take a while.  However it is a great way to improve your focus, and your working systems. You will discover better ways to do your job, most likely reducing some of the stress, and becoming much more effective.

Make a list of every positive aspect of your job. Every positive aspect. If you are in a mental downspin, this may be hard. But if done with any focus, it will most likely help you create a better perspective and improve your attitude.

Create a job application letter for your current position. In that letter include why you are the absolute best one for that position.

Remember your attention on meditation!

Recreate the passion. It is vital.

There is more….later.
