Believe it or not, those that know me know that I can at times be critical of people. “How can someone let their life turn into something like that? They can certainly do better. What is wrong with them?” and so the statements continue.
So today, I opened up “my” drawer in the bathroom. And then it came to focus. That drawer was a mess! I had things in there that I never use, will never use, and whatever some of that stuff fixed, it was repaired years ago.
Now here’s the question. How many people have lives like “my” bathroom drawer? My drawer became a mess because I didn’t monitor what was in there. I quit caring, and I quit taking inventory. I failed to check out that drawer occasionally to monitor the clutter. The stuff I needed was on top and out in front. The rest just took up space. Valuable space.
I wonder if some folks took inventory of their lives, the activities, and the people involved, how many of those activities or people would be cut out? Would it help them?
I cleaned out the drawer and a lot of things went away. Little activities like this can change a mindset, it did mine. And no, this wasn’t copied or pasted from a website, or someone else’s post.
As my wife always say’s, Be Well!
