So, what do I do?

The solution is out there!

From the almost mundane and lethargic lifestyle of what I consider a normal childhood. To the new world of technology communication and the “instant reply” world we live in, our expectations can get a bit tough to maneuver. And yes, toss in a worldwide health pandemic, a very divided society, and the anxiety level can be extremely high. Limited mobility, and the freedom to go where we want to, really creates a struggle.

Our work platform changes monthly, different rules for some, and unknowns for others leads us down a path of uncertainty.

However, at some point we need to just slow this train down.

We get conditioned to “responding” and “reacting!”  Being proactive seems unattainable, as every body wants something!  We cant even think about objectives, because we are constantly reacting!

With our mind constantly spinning, we seldom notice positive things, unless they are blatantly obvious.

Our failsafe solution for all of our issues is to find someone in our life that will tell us something comforting.  But, if we hear the same solution from more than one person, we rule it out as too logical. We want a “new” spin on the same constant and reoccurring issues. We want a new road to go down. New scenery!

Personally I think that it starts with stopping. Not stopping our job. I’ve done that many more times in my life than I should have, and it eventually took a toll on our future. But, we do need to stop the noise.

How is that done?

Our mind can only keep track of one thought at a time. Only one.

It is similar to breathing. We can only breathe in, or we can only breathe out. We can’t do either of those at the same time. It’s physically impossible.

How do we let new thoughts in, when we have the “thought doorway” blocked wide open? We lose control of our thought process, and everything becomes chaos.

How do we stop our thought process?

Some people drink alcohol. Some take medication.

Others take a much healthier approach through exercise.

But, the thoughts are still there. The mental chaos is still happening, as the door to our mind is still propped wide open, letting the nuisance of unfiltered mental activity run rampant.

There is one very simple, and effective method.

I  will talk about his in my my next post.
