Today’s World

Do you ever realize that we live in a world of paying for our feelings.

We need a coffee, we pay for it. Why, because that coffee will make us fee better.  I need new socks, because there are holes in the toes. Are all of the socks ruined because there is a hole in the toe of one sock?  Lets go buy a dozen new ones, because at this rate, I may need to “mend” 3 socks in the next year. The new socks will make me so much more content. That was a poor example, but what did people do before there were stores? I know that is a very basic starting point. What about the days if you were bored, and as a boy, you would find a dead tree branch and whittle. And for the really young ones out there, whittle is not the same thing as relieving your bladder, it is using a knife and cutting it, and shaving it until it looked like of became something useful. Most anything we buy is for a feeling in the root element. Yes, there are necessities, like food, but there are some feelings involved in what you buy. I’m not saying buying things is bad, or even wrong. There are things that need to  be bought. However the majority of them are feeling related.
